Having bolted higher at the very start of the year when prices reach $2,499/tonne, lead has since pulled back and has been consolidating. At the end of last week prices were once again trading sideways around the $2,320/tonne level, which is also around where the September highs were. Although lead prices may have run ahead of themselves, we generally feel that this market will remain firm.
