One of the noticeable changes in the zinc market of late has been the widening of the contango, which has seen the three-month to 15-month spread move out to $85/tonne, from an average of around $60/tonne since the start of August. Cash to three-months has also widened to $38/ tonne, from an average of 24/tonne over the same period.
