Chlorides of isomeric C-78 fullerenes: C-78(1)Cl-30, C-78(2)Cl-30, and C-78(2)Cl-18

Addition patterns of isomeric C-78(1)Cl-30 and C-78(2)Cl-30 respectively show striking differences, which concern the formation of extended vs. small ring aromatic systems, the presence vs. the absence of triple Cl center dot center dot center dot Cl contacts and chlorinated sites of triple hexagon junctions.
