LME and SHFE stocks both rose last week. In London, a 25,650 tonne jump on Friday accounted for the vast majority of the week’s rise, while in Shanghai, a 5,430 tonne net inflow reversed the trend of the preceding two weeks. In total, stocks on both exchanges rose by 28,455 tonnes, or 3.1%, to stand at 955,800 tonnes. To put this in perspective, it is an increase of 330,000 tonnes in the last twelve months.
