Last week we noted a surge in LME cancelled warrants that reached a four-year high. Withdrawals have been rapid since then, coming at a rate of 461 tpd last week and averaging 300 tpd during the last 11 trading days. The total on warrant now stands at 21,100 tonnes, the lowest level since September last year, but cancelled warrants have also fallen.
