Last week we suggested that aluminium and the other base metals would need several data points to either come in positively, or neutral, for market jitters to be calmed. This happened last week with a bout of better than expected economic data coming out of the US and China, including strong jobs data on Friday capping a good week for positive macroeconomic sentiment.
