LME stocks continue to edge higher, with the bulk of last week’s 2.3% rise (the biggest since the end of September) being delivered on December 14. A total of 4,650 tonnes were warranted in US and Asian warehouses. As has been the case in zinc and copper, nearby tightness has emerged in lead too, and this may attract more metal on to the LME if it persists into the year-end.
