LME zinc stocks continue to leave warehouses at a regular pace, averaging 3,045 tonnes per day (tpd) last week, compared with 2,370 tpd the week before. The majority of metal continues to leave New Orleans and Detroit. In the absence of outflows from a geographically more diverse locations, the feeling remains that the withdrawals represent metal moving into off-market financing deals, where rents are cheaper and regulatory oversight is reduced.
