As usual, Chinese production numbers for the first two months of the year have been lumped together and released in late March in a bid to minimise the impact of the Chinese New Year holiday break. Interestingly, the recently-released data shows that while output for the period increased by 7.6% yearon- year to 27,579 tonnes, daily production rates were at their lowest levels since the same time last year.
