LME warehouses in New Orleans continue to see sporadic inflows, with a net 3,075-tonne increase on Wednesday last week and 6,775 tonnes on Friday. This follows the net 90,000-tonne increase that occurred over the period from late July to mid-August. If the deliveries were happening in Asia, we might attribute them to the fall-out from the Qingdao probe, but this most likely reflects previously off-market stocks being drawn back onto warrant by tightness in the spread.
