We have noted how in recent weeks zinc prices have been working towards the important zone of technical resistance that lies around $2,100-2,150/tonne on the three-month price chart. On Monday this week, prices burst into this area, and on high volume too, which makes it feel like a concerted breakout is occurring. We will have to wait to see if the move can be sustained and how much resistance the next target ($2,220-2,240/tonne) provides.
