Copper stocks in SHFE warehouses grew to 217,000 tonnes last week and are now at their highest level since 2002. While these numbers on their own are becoming increasingly concerning, on top of this it is estimated that around 450,000 tonnes are also being held in bonded warehouses, along with possibly another 200,000 tonnes being held privately in bond.
