We estimate that there are between 600,000 and 650,000 tonnes of refined copper being held in bonded warehouses in China. Another 181,514 tonnes of copper is sitting in official SHFE warehouses, which is actually an increase of almost 19,000 tonnes in the past couple of weeks. This is not the version of post holiday China that many were hoping to see.
