LME lead stocks dropped a net 9,650 tonnes last week to 368,175 tonnes. The bulk of the withdrawals have been made from Johor and are thought to be the result of further movements between warehouses, not a pick-up in physical demand. In the first six weeks of the year, the average outflow was around 750 tpd, but since February 16 it has spiked up to 2,233tpd.
