Distributors Form Partnership to Create Its Own BBQ Line

A group of six equipment distributors have formed a partnership to fill their collective need for their own barbecue line.In particular,the group of distributors wanted a line of lower- to mid-priced stainless steel grills,said Tom Tarantin,president of Tarantin Tank & Equipment Co.(Freehold,N.J.),and "the alliance gives us a unique and more consumer-driven product line."Spearheading the alliance was Steve Slayton Jr.of Clark Distributing Co.(Charlotte,N.C.)and Kirk Newby of Associated Energy Systems(Seattle).
