摘要

In this work several samples of Quercus agrifolia activated carbon,the porous structure of which was nanostructured by chemical activation with NaOH and KOH,were evaluated for hydrogen adsorption at 77 K and atmospheric pressure.Hydrogen adsorption reached values in the order of 2.7 wt.% for KOH activated carbon.The mechanism of formation of the porous nanostructures was found to be the key factor in controlling the hydrogen adsorption capacity of chemically activated carbon.
