Intelligent Metering was a two-year European project that aimed at demonstrating the energy savings available at minimum cost using data provided by intelligent metering and giving training in energy efficiency to building occupants and users. There was an expectation that up to 30 percent saving could be achieved with little or no additional cost over and above the cost of the metering.
