摘要

LANSING, Mich.—The combination of natural gas and renewables will claim a growing piece of the Michigan electric generation "pie" during the next decade as the state faces the challenge of replacing the generating capacity that will be lost when 10 coal power plants are retired in coming years, according to Gov. Rick Snyder, who delivered a special message on energy March 13 in Warren, Mich. Snyder spoke to the issues of energy affordability, adaptability, reliability and environmental protection, saying that Michigan must take aggressive steps and set clear energy goals while ensuring that long-term decisions affecting the state are made here, not in Washington.
