Investigation of Hungarian Moss Species as Toxic Trace Element-Accumulating Plants

Research on various moss species to determine whether they can be used to indicate environment pollution (mainly air pollution) has been ongoing for several years. The main area of research so far has been Northern Europe, mainly in Scandinavia, manydata have also been amassed on the northern part of the American continent. The aim of Swedish and Finnish researchers is to prepare a pollution map of all of Europe with the help of the various moss species.
