Directional Drilling Contractors (DDC) transitions to parent company name, Archer Directional Drilling Services, effective April 1

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich.—Directional Drilling Contractors (DDC), a longtime name in the Michigan and northeastern U.S. oilpatch, has transitioned to its parent company name, Archer Directional Drilling Services, effective April 1. According to a press release issued late last week, Archer had acquired DDC in August 2011 from Great White Energy as part of a larger acquisition with other business units. Since 2011, DDC has been operated under the legacy name DDC as a part of Archer.
