Prospective bidders at May 9 state oil and gas lease auction reminded of need to confirm they are on authorized bidder list prior to auction

LANSING, Mich.-The Michigan Department of Natural Resources' (DNR) Minerals Management Section (MMS) is this week reminding prospective bidders at the upcoming May 9, 2013 state oil and gas lease auction that new procedures implemented prior to the October 2012 lease auction require them to submit a security deposit in the amount of $5,000 in order to register if they are not on MMS' authorizied bidder list.
