Michigan oil and gas drilling uring the first 11 months of 2004 has exceeded annual activity levels for the past five years and is on a pace to crack the 500 drilling completion mark for the first time since 1998.An unofficial tally of drilling activity through the end of November 2004 conducted by Michigan Oil & Gas News shows that 472 holes had reached total depth between Jan.1 and Nov.30,a total that is already 18 percent higher than the 400 holes drilled in all of 2003.
