Kinetics of removal copper oxides from the properzi casting copper wire

摘要

This paper presents the results of the removal ofcopper oxides from Cu-wire produced in continuous castingmachine "system Properzi". The removal s based upon reductionof oxides to metal by means of a liquid organic solution of theisopropyl alcohol. The effects of temperature and solutioncomposition were studied in a laboratory apparatus. The thicknessof residual oxides was determined by the coulometric reduction test method.
