摘要

The inoculation is a treatment method by physicaland metallurgical processes, applied to metallic melts, in order toimprove the physical, chemical and/or mechanical properties ofmetallic materials in solid state. Following the solidification ofmetallic melt subjected to such treatment; as inoculated structureis obtained. In case of Al-Si alloys, the inoculation is intensivelyused, Sb being one of the possible inoculants. In this paper somepreliminary results, about the influence of Sb on structure and onsome mechanical properties of ATSiCuNiMg, are presented.
