Vitreous enamelling is a coating process in wich metal is first coated with enamel and then heated until the enamel just melts. On cooling, the nature of the surface will have been transformed now being shiny and colourful.It has a combination of the functional benefits of wear and corrosion resistance.The steels used for vitreous enamelling must have specials characteristics. In other words, these materials must have good conformability and others requirement to enamelling.This work shows the steel's development to enamelling correspondent the standard DIN1623, EK2 and EK4 specifications, with very thin thickness, about 0.28 and 0.44 mm.
