Investigations Regarding Manufacturing Level of Steel in the Iron and Steel Industry

In order to increase the efficiency in the iron and steel industry, the Romanian Metallurgical Research Institute (ICEM) performed comparative analysis regarding the world-wide and Romanian iron and steel industries. Results of investigations indicate an increasing with minimum 100 USD/ton of efficiency, if manufacturing level of steel is improved Modernisation and restructuring of iron and steel industry is required in order to diminish the gap as compared to world wide and EU levels.
