These might be titles for operas, punk bands, or Cirque du Soleil-type extravaganzas; but in fact they name rings of extraordinary design by the Chilean-born, Montreal-based art jeweler Claudio Pino. Meticulously hand-wrought of precious metals and colored stones, Pino's rings range in form from the (deceptive) simplicity of a solitaire to the choreographic complexity of a kinetic sculpture. Each and every design is assigned a poetic descriptive that in some way reflects the maker's response, either to the natural world or to styles and artifacts of material culture.
