CYBERCHONDRIA-A TECHNICAL AGGRESSION AGAINST HUMAN HEALTH

Technological progress has offered many possibilities for development and affirmation of the medical field. The use of Internet has brought benefits to the health professionals and to the patients. This study will define cyberchondria and the cyberchondriac. After searching a web page to find answers to their questions, the patients' concerns increase and this leads to a new hypochondria regarding the Internet. The authors present the hypochondriac's profile and the way to avoid addiction to the medical information from the Internet.
