摘要

This paperwork presents a new method and an installation designed especially for the processing of composite materials with a metal matrix and 《in situ》 formed particles. The properties of the composite material, obtained by means of semicontinous casting, under the form of bars with a diameter of 20 mm and a length of 500mm, are significantly influenced by the evolution of the solidification parameters. The deduction of the mathematic model of the transition expelled/incorporated for the reinforcement particles situated in front of the solidification front enabled the drawing of some conclusions regarding the influence of technological factors on the solidification process.
