Corrosion resistance determinations at high temperatures by static method were performed to estimate the wear resistance of the dolomite blocks.The determinations were made h two situations:A) the refractory material corrosion by the slag without dolomite addition;b) the refractory material corrosion by the slag with dolomite addition;The samples were subject to the electronic microprobe analysis to determine the distribution of the basic constituent elements. The microscope images point out the dissolution of lining magnesia and its migration into slag.This phenomenon is reduced in the case of dolomite addition in the slag.
