Over recent years has been an increasing in extending the life of materials used in aggressive operating condition by the application of surface coating. On such coating technique is Chemical Vapour Deposition (C.V.D.). This is a process whereby the surface properties of a metal or non -metal are altered by the generation of a layer with special chemical and physical properties.
