Featuring over sixty works of art spanning several decades, this tour-de-force retrospective included many privately owned pieces that have never been exhibited before. Boyd's work is a fascinating journey of search and discovery, and the creation of beauty and complexity. A master of metal and stone, with a background in painting, his knowledge of mineral colors is both profound and subtle, Many of the pieces in this exhibition feature unique and rare stones, some acquired in travels to mining sites in Asia and Australia and others found locally in the mineral-rich Colorado mountains.
