AMERICANS IN GREAT MEASURE

Over the decades, USMA members and other U.S. metrication supporters have heard most every emotional argument against the change we advocate. From one friend I heard, "It's not our culture!" From a professional colleague I was presented with, "I like the metric system, but keep it out of my kitchen!" Still others said, "It's inhuman!" and "I couldn't care less." But the objection that I find most irksome, the one that really gets my "metric" up, is the dimwitted assertion, "It's not American!"
