Seco Tools purchased Niagara Cutter back in 2011. It was marriage of tool companies that made perfect sense. At the time, Seco only had its high-end Jabro round tooling line. Meanwhile, Niagara was a specialist in the mid-market brand area, competing against the likes of OSG and SGS. So the two complemented each other well. "Jabro is a high-end solid carbide brand that focused on mold and die and high-end tools for aerospace and difScult-to-mill materials," says Gary Meyers, Product Manager, Round Tools. "When we brought Niagara into the fold that opened up a whole new area for us to compete in, and to start looking for business in an area we weren't really familiar with."
