Mastership of strand solidification

For monitoring the strand solidification process the Caster Crown~R system uses a robust mechanical-hydraulic sensor with newly developed measuring and control devices. The essential component of this system is a solidification model. This model is automatically calibrated and optimized by highly accurate measurements of the solidifying strand. CasterCrown is a highly valuable tool for controlling the continuous casting process in an unmatched accurate manner. It improves productivity and quality, supports the development of new steel grades and reduces maintenance costs. Continuous casting plants can easily be upgraded with CasterCrown.
