The smart factory gets smarter

The news in March that Memex Automation of Burlington, Ont., was to receive government funding to further expand its operations was a positive one both for industry in Ontario, and the expanded use of MTConnect and related technologies. In a little less than a year, the company has grown from 21 to 33 employees, and that number should grow again with the new funding. Memex is taking on new customers, and expanding its reach in the operations of others. The same can be said of other companies in the business of networking shop floors for growth using the MTConnect standard.
