Self aligning coupling

Typical uses of Staubli's new SPC coupling are on machine tools for the attachment of machining or broaching heads and cooling circuit connections on plastic injection moulds. A novel feature is ability to compensate for misalignment on connection. The SPC is robust and designed for high frequency use of up to 1 million connections. A form of pre-guiding combined with an elastic connection allows take up misalignment of up to 0.5mm between plus and socket on connection.
