The endless welding rolling process

The endless welding of billets substantially improves mill output capacity, by increasing effective production time, material yield and mill efficiency. Production costs are minimised by less specific consumption figures, longer life of theequipment and reduced workforce. Long term tests have demonstrated that the material quality at the welded joint is very good, comparable with the base material of the stock. Therefore this process cannot only be applied for commercial grades but also for quality steels. The process is suitable for application in new plants as well as for revamping and upgrading of existing plants.
