BH Steel to upgrade bar mill

The BH Steel bar mill will be modified and upgraded by the installation of a new single-strand, high-speed compact roughing mill and tunnel-type controlled process furnace to feed to the present double-strand rolling mill facilities.The electric equipment and the automation system will be supplied by Danieli Automation. The mill revamping is part of a major expansion project that also includes a completely new 100t/h steel meltshop. The related orders were awarded to Danieli in March 2001.
