Galvex to build galvanizing line

Galvex is one of the largest green-field projects in Eastern Europe. International Steel Industries (ISI) will build a new hot-dip galvanizing line and warehousing facility in the port of Muuga in Tallinn. The equipment, which will be supplied on a turnkey basis by Danieli Wean United, will enable a nominal production of 378000 t/a galvanized coils from hot rolled pickled steel and cold rolled low carbon steel in a thickness range from 0.25 to 1.5 mm and a width range from 635 to 1550 mm at line speeds up to 200 m/min.The plant will start producing construction-grade galvanized coils. However, it is also planned to produce auto-quality products at a later stage to cover the growing demand in Eastern Europe.
