摘要

The electrode regulation has great influence on the efficiency of the melting operation in the electric arc furnace. Dalmine S.p.A. installed a digital electrode regulation system, designed for optimising energy and electrode consumption and the power input from the transformer. The digital regulator uses four different operating modes, i.e. constant impedance, constant power constant current and constant power factor. Since the installation Dalmine has continuously improved the productivity of the plant. Electrode consumption has been reduced from 2.3 kg/t to 1.75 kg/t, energy consumption is 10 kWh/t less than before. The better use of the available power and the achieved stabilization of the arc have optimised overall EAF performance and capabilities.
