Recommissioning a six-high reversing stand and recoiling line

A serious fire destroyed the rolling mill at ThyssenKrupp Electrical Steel EBG in Bochum, Germany. Large parts of the mechanical and electrical equipment were heavily affected. More than 20 firms participated in the reconstruction work. Siemens Cold Rolling Mills and Processing Lines Technologies was chosen to supply the necessary replacement for the electrical equipment and automation systems. The project was outstanding in terms of its time schedule and because it provided security of on-time completion thanks to the local presence of Siemens. The solution also offers a number of new and additional control system features.
