Intelligent solutions for the slab caster machine head

摘要

Excellent product quality in continuous casting is the result of an optimized machine design, the ability to rapidly adjust operational parameters and the application of excellent control software. The slab caster machine head is the most important caster section with decisive influence on the surface quality of the cast strand. This paper describes a number of VA technological packages specifically dedicated to the caster machine head and successfully installed in both new and existing continuous casting machines.
