Ormet Aluminum Mill Products Corporation, Rolling Mill Division, Hannibal, Ohio, has signed an agreement with Industrial Automation Services (IAS)~1) to design, supply and commission a replacement of the hydraulic gap control, automatic gauge control, and shape control system for their Bliss 4-high cold mill. This mill is a key element of the Hannibal rolling mill. The open architecture control system incorporates IAS's easy-to-maintain graphical programming interface. The scope of supply also includes new mechanical "top hats" for the mill to accommodate and protect new Inductosyn position transducers and a new shape roll transducer box interfacing to an existing (Davy) Shape Technology Ltd.
