Nucor lifts 20-foot rebar by $20 per tonne

Nucor Corp has raised the price of its 20-foot long reinforcing bar by$20 per ton ($1 per hundredweight), it said in a letter to customers.The increase is effective with new orders commencing May 16,while confirmed orders placed as of May 13 will be price-protected ifshipped before June 1, the US steelmaker said.
