Micro-macrosegregation calculations have beenperformed for a rectangular cavity containing either a Pb-48 wtpct Sn alloy or a Sn-5 wt pct Pb alloy. The numerical resultscalculated with a finite volume method (FVM) and a finiteelement method (FEM) are compared with experimental resultspreviously obtained by hebditch and hunt.[1]
