Heavy-duty rocker bearing with new seals

Heavy-duty steel/steel rocker bearings in different sizes, a new type of seal and different application-specific types of modern high-duty lubricating grease are the key elements of the new rocker bearing systems developed by SKF GmbH, Germany.The completely new seal design has been developed for use in extremely dirty and wet environments. A solid steel support forms the backbone of the new rocker bearing system and securely holds the new heavy-duty seals, see figure. The considerably increased retaining force ensures a perfect and reliable fit of the seals at all times. The sophisticated design with a triple sealing lip provides long-term protection against contamination. Optimum system rigidity and dimensional stability reliably ensure good contact between the sealing lips and the internal ring and at the same time the possibility of releasing small amounts of grease from inside outward.
