Increased sales to the automotive transmission sector in particular have already resulted in a 12 percent rise in the number of employees at the plant. A further 30 jobs will be created when the new press facility is fully operational. This forging press investment will not only support an increased level of business for the traditional products of Firth Rixson Forgings but will, the company feels, produce a new range of components for the automotive industry.
