摘要

The collaboration between ISP Cremona and VESUVIUS started since the beginning of the Thin Slab Caster and InIine Rolling Mill industrial project is illustrated.The project (called ISP: Inline Strip Production) exhibited, from the beginning of the industrial tests a critical area in the design of the casting refractory components. Narrow dimensions of the mould together the need of special geometry for the nozzle created serious problems to manufacture casting refractory component. This paper describe the joint effort of ISP and VESUVIUS to develop Stopper and Nozzle for the continuos casting capable to guarantee viability to the use of the new casting technology.
