Essar Steel Minnesota has accepted the terms of Minnesota GovernorMark Dayton’s final offer with regard to a $66-million loanrepayment for the company’s taconite plant project on the IronRange.“In response to the December 23 letter from Governor Dayton’soffice, Essar has communicated to the governor that Essar accepts thestate’s proposed repayment terms,” the company said in a December31 statement. “We are pleased that the parties have succeeded inbringing closure to this important matter.”
